How Protective Is It?

Let's face it, an eco-friendly phone case MUST also protect the phone from daily drops... what else is the point? We have tested the Pela case beyond the usual risks where the phone falls out of the pocket, so you can be sure that the phone case is doing its job.

Materials

The Pela case is made of Flaxstic®, which consists of compostable bioplastic elastomer and flax straw material. Our material has been tested to be safe and free of phthalates, BPA, cadmium, and lead, and has been verified to meet child safety standards in the USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Our base material meets USA (ASTM D6400-04) and EU (EN 13432) standards for composting in an industrial composting facility and has a lower carbon footprint and lower greenhouse gas emissions than traditional plastic. It can also be left for biodegradation in a home composting environment.
