As a display protector it protects the touchscreen against scratches from everyday use. It is built of optical glass that is chemically hardened at the molecular level, with a reinforcing PET film on the inside and a self-adhesive silicone layer for mounting.
The surface is grease-repellent to reduce fingerprints. The glass has a hardness of 8–9H and is up to three times harder than other protective films according to the manufacturer.
If the protective glass breaks, the glass splinters are held in place by the PET film. The material is also designed to withstand shocks, rapid temperature drops, moisture and chemical exposure, as well as to absorb impacts and blows.
Installation: clean the screen, place the glass protector correctly and press it down from the center outward with a soft cloth. Air bubbles may disappear by themselves within 48 hours.
