How protective is it?

Let's face it, an eco-friendly mobile case MUST also protect the phone from daily drops... what's the point otherwise? We've tested the Pela case beyond the usual risks where the phone falls out of your pocket, so you can be confident that the case is doing its job.

Material

The Pela case is made of Flaxstic®, consisting of compostable bioplastic elastomer and flax straw material. Our material has been tested to be safe and free of phthalates, BPA, cadmium, and lead, and has been verified to meet child safety standards in the USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Our base material complies with USA (ASTM D6400-04) and EU (EN 13432) standards for composting in an industrial composting facility and has a lower carbon footprint and lower greenhouse gas emissions than traditional plastic. It can also be left for biodegradation in a home composting environment.

Case Design

Meticulously crafted to protect your phone from drops and scratches just like any regular plastic case. Precision cutouts around speakers, charger, volume, and other buttons. Carefully designed to wrap around the edges to protect the front of your phone. Soft and smooth to touch without extra bulk.
