The protective glass is Case friendly and is made to leave a small margin from the outer edge of the screen, so it does not cover all the way to the edge.
This display protector is built with a thin layer of optical glass that is chemically hardened at the molecular level. On the inside there is a reinforcing PET film with a self-adhesive layer of silicone that helps the glass stay in place.
The surface is grease-repellent to reduce fingerprints. The protector is also designed to absorb shocks and impacts so that the phone's screen is not hit directly.
If the glass protector should crack, the pieces are held in place by the PET layer, which reduces the risk of sharp shards against the screen.
